Could you explain the physical connections. What and where to actually connect cables. I'm going to connect directly to my router. I don't have a computer

I HAVE FINALLY FOUND A PROPER HELP VID TO HELP ME. My folks currently have a picostation m2 as an access point down at their boathouse. They recently updated their internet from DSL to Wireless Internet (they live out in a rural area and are quite limited) and suddenly the picostation stopped working properly. When plugged back in, it would work for about 15-20 minutes but then cut the internet out EVERYWHERE (still get a wifi signal but no internet access). Quite bizarre. So tomorrow I am going to try your method and see if it works. Wish me luck.

  3. Lisa Nguyen says:

Where did you get the ip address info? Also, my reset switch doesn't work, is there another way to do a factory reset for the picostation? The wireless network no longer appears on any of my devices. Thank you.

  4. Gary Welsh says:

Great stuff thank you. Would never had sorted this out otherwise having inherited the system and on-line documentation assumed that you were an IT professional, or at least come across something similar before.

Can you please help me? We have this piocstation in our local school everything was working fine before except frequently limited access , but now everything is down since there is red blink in picostation itself and no WiFi ssid won't even show up in any device both android and computer , how do i solve this please?

Thank you for this video. Once a year I have to change the AP settings at my brother in law's house. This video reminds me that I have to change the adapter settings in order to log into the AP. I forget every damn time! Thanks again!

  7. Prairie's Edge Dairy says:

Thanks much for the video. We bought a Pico to extend the Wifi on our small farm. We're total novices when it comes to networking – with your vid, we configured the Pico on the first try. We now have wifi a 1/2 mile out from the house.

    Thanks again.

  8. Philip Kong says:

Thank you! I have a question. You configured your PICO to "locked" on to your D-link WIRELESS router. Is the PICO still communicating with your main router via Ethernet cable? or is it now acting more like a wireless range extender? Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi, Looking for some information and hope you can help…I want to setup a bridge so that I can connect a firewall (Watchguard T10) to a Spark 4G modem. As i guess you will know the spark modem is wifi only. I thought I may be able to use the Picostation as a Bridge station, talking over wi-wifi to the Spark modem, but before I rush down top PBTech thought it wise to ask for some advice! So my network will be:
    Internet <-> Spark 4G modem <- wifi – > Picostation – > < cat5 cable -> <-Watchguard WAN Interface – Protected internal network

Hope that makes sense and you can offer some advise…

    Cheers
    Rod.

Can you clarify where to find the "Network Interface" in Windows 10 as shown in 4:13 in your video? The system doesn't seem to recognise the Picostation for logging into it without making these adjustments first. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello,
We have a family owned accommodation in Samoa, which I will refer to
as Main, spread on a 1/4 acre with 37 rooms. We have added a new off
site accommodation that I would like to connect to our WiFi which I will
refer to as Second. The new location is 300 Meters away in a suburb.
What would I need to setup at the new site to use the WiFi signal
from the Main site. I imagine the main site would have Ubiquity
Picostation M2-HP to send the signal across a suburb to reach the new
    site?
Our Main accommodation has an Asus Rt-n12d1 with guests using the
main building lobby to use the WiFi. There are 3 buildings in total at
the Main location. I am looking at Ubiquiti NanoStationM NSM2 Wireless-N
    2.4GHz/150+ Mbps/13+ KM Outdoor AP/Bridge w/ 2x Ethernet Ports
(PtP,PtMP). I will setup  1 to cover the Main hotel and another to send a
signal to the Second accommodation. The one to receive the signal and
connect to a router and maybe one more Ubiquiti NanoStationM NSM2 to
distribute the Wifi over buildings at Second.

I can only source my gear from Pbtech.co.nz as I have an account
there. How would you go about this? Your help would be greatly
    appreciated.

Hey Westy, great vid again as always. One question:  Do you know if Ubiquiti has specified anywhere any safety concerns about installing this too close to people?  For example installing this in the corner of my room, maybe my desk or bed should be at least 2 meters from the device? Can't find any information on this at Ubiquiti.  Perhaps you know or have a link?   Thanks in advance!
